Able to explain 3 or more elements (e.g. line, shape, colour, form) that artists use to share messages through their work; can identify an artist’s message (e.g personal identity, a story, opinion on social issues)

Lady Pink
3 Elements

Shape: Lady pink was a graffiti artist so she mostly used big expressed shapes representing realistic objects, places and even humans.  She had a lot of 3D objects to make her art work look realistic.  here is one of her art works that really stood out as a realistic piece of art

Colour: there are a lot of different kinds of colour shades there could be a light type of shade, dark, medium, or a real sketched type colour, they could all be used in different ways. lady pink mostly used bright colours because she used bright to explain that women stand out and can do anything, knowing from her art work, take a look at one of her art works and tell me in the comments if you agree. Lady Pink fine art

Lines: Lady pink would always used different types of lines, she used the Elements of shapes to express her self in her art work that tells her message for women, for and example curved lines , straight lines and other lines.

Auckland U13 Representative Rugby!

“Toko uso, Uso toko...WE ARE BROTHERS!” During my school holidays I had the privilege to play in the blue and white hoopers and represent Auckland. We played against 4 teams around New Zealand and we were the only team that was full of intermediate boys but that didn’t get to us.  My experience with the team was a memory I will keep forever and one of the most fun times of playing rugby.

The main thing for our team was brotherhood, brotherhood was important to our team because the only way to play on the field with each other is if you can call the guy beside you, your brother.  Our brotherhood at start wasn’t so great, sometimes the boys would come to training with a bad attitude then that attitude builds up and encourages other boys to join as well. As time passed more and more boys noticed that you didn’t  have to be a (Captain) to lead the team but your brotherhood can be shown when your fellow team mates are stepping up to lead. When your team comes together and just takes a breather to focus in without coach telling us to then you know your brotherhood would not be broken .

We arrived at hamilton for the first tournament playing in the Auckland jersey and the first thing we did was walk around the field just to know what way the wind is at its strongest and the matter of space we can use and just to go through our game plan for the first game.  I felt pretty nervous and so did some of the other boys knowing that we are representing the people back at home, our families and ourselves. Back in the changing rooms we all started talking about values on the field just to know we've got them on lock and were not lost on the field.  Something I learnt from warm ups is that “ the way you act up in training and warm ups, will be the way you act in game time”  I took that very seriously knowing that we have to stay focus no matter what.

Last game with my brothers was a game I will never forget.  Unfortunately we came up short and wellington took the win but one thing I was so proud of is that no matter how much tries they scored, no matter how much tackles they made, they could never break our bond because we fought till the end.  The lesson i learnt from that game was “this is rugby, you win some you lose some” but never give up until it’s finished.

Four Ideas For Your Next FUN SCHOOL HOLIDAY!!!

Late nights, junk food, video games and fun activities what could be a better school holidays? If your looking for some tips on how to make your boring school holiday into a creative school holiday well Read on! Take these tips and use them for your next FUN SCHOOL HOLIDAY.

The very first thing to do is make sure you get all your chores out of the way because if your floors are dirty, clothes aren’t washed and the sink is full with dishes then all you would be cleaning instead of playing. If you are cleaning try and be creative so you don’t stay bored while your cleaning. You could time yourself and see how fast your time is or you could freestyle with what every object your use for an example “ I just need to find the broom, then after that i can use the vacuum”

Second of all don’t have a planned school holiday because that would make things go bananas and you would have to remember what to do and what to wear. All you should do is try and find something to do or let a great idea pop into your head then that’s when you say “I'VE GOT A GREAT IDEA”.

Thirdly don’t be the stay home guy and be the outside active guy, it’s way more fun and it’s also healthy.   Staying inside is so boring like just imagine a great sunny day were you could do a lot of things like going to the beach and having a water balloon fight is way better then trying to get 1 victory royal in fortnite. You could do so much outside and have so much fun  then staying inside on video games.

It’s always good to have fun but it’s also good to have some family time because your family is the most important thing and to just spend a good day with your family could even make your holidays fun.

Creative chores, great ideas, fun activities now that’s what i would call a fun holiday, so if thought these four ideas on having a fun holidays  were very inspiring maybe next time you could try them and write your very own blog about your fun holiday.

Every Body Won't You Move Your Body!!

All of a sudden a loud sound of music burst through the crowd and a hairy groovy beyonce
popped out shimming and shining telling everyone to get up and “Move your body”
I will be telling you about the hairy beyonce with his groovy dance moves and teachers
that went “ALL OUT” and entertained the crowd.

The start of Term 3 was one of the best starts to school you could think of.  Have you ever
walked into the first day of school and dancing and clapping and
just moving  your body? Our school theme was Move Your Body and it was all about
being healthy, active and learning new things that can help you or teach you new things.

Teachers that stood out was the team 5 teachers showing us how to do tai chi an ancient
Chinese form of exercise originally created as a fighting art.  They really made us laugh
and even though it was funny it also had a meaning in it like to never give up when
your trying something new and to just give it your all even though you don’t know how to do it.

Thank you to all the teachers for presenting their items and getting us kids to look forward
to having an amazing term 3. Thank you to Mr.Burt for showing us his beyonce moves and
getting us all up and moving and getting our brains switched on and ready,
Thank you to all the outstanding teachers who took their time to make a video or present
a item for each team.

Makey Makey Term 3 Extension Reflection

Term 3 Extension Task! It gets harder and harder every Term. This was one of the hardest so far. Our Task was to use Makey Makey and code to make an instrument to play either the song Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Happy birthday or a song that you know how to play. If you don’t know what Makey Makey is the information is on here. My group, Me and Ajani chose to play Happy Birthday. Ajani was playing the Piano and I was playing the Drums. First Ajani had to create a piano by using a cardboard box and had to cut little cardboard pieces to represent the tiles. And I used playdough container and put the playdough pieces on top and used pencils to represent the drum sticks.

The biggest challenge that we had was to try and put the drumming and mix it with the piano luckily we had Zoe there.  Ajani and I had a choice between a game show and musical  instruments so Ajani and I picked to do instruments. The thing we found most easier was getting to know the beats and keys to play our instruments, we started with the twinkle twinkle little star song but that didn’t work out so we tried Happy Birthday and it actually worked out. If you think you can take the challenge go try out the Makey Makey and see if you can make a band, here is the site go have a look and buy the kit.

Happy Niuean Language Week!!!

Moonu moonu moonu Tangaloa, Fakalofo lahi atu Today was the end of the first week of term 4.  As you know it is Niue language week and Pt.England where celebrating it with the Niuean group's item, Fun fact: did you know that there are only 14 villages in Niue, the surprising thing was that there were not only just Niuean kids there where a mixture of some Tongan, Maori and Samoan kids that just shows that you don't have too be Niue too celebrate the culture you just embrace it cause you can.
The Niue dancers outfits where outstanding, the boys looked like they where actually Niue warriors and on the other hand it was bright and colourful. It was probably the best Niuean performance ive seen if you Niuean just embrasure your culture
